We need help with our field maintenance.
Unlike other neighboring towns, all Little League fields are maintained solely
by volunteers. The FM crew is always
overwhelmed and understaffed. FM continues
all season long and the more help we get with it, the better the fields can be. We have a lot of work to do to get the
fields in shape for the up coming season.
Properly maintained fields result in fewer rainouts and safer playing conditions.
Please, any time you can devote will pay dividends to you and your children immediately.
The General Membership meetings are open to all League parents.
We strongly recommend that you attend at least some of these meetings. Ask questions, make suggestions, and
get an idea how decisions are made and why.
The League belongs to all of us and everyones input is welcomed.
Meetings are held in the Higbie Lane Senior Center Cafeteria (at the back
of the building). Except for holidays the meeting takes place on the first Monday
of the month at 7:30 pm October April, excluding December and at 8:30 pm in May
and June. Operating Personnel are required
to attend at least one Nov-Jan meeting, one in Feb-Mar, and two in Apr-Jun in order
to vote in the elections. Operating
personnel includes the Executive Board, Committee Heads, Managers, and Coaches,
concessionaires, groundskeepers and umpires who meet the minimum volunteer requirements. We suggest you keep the back sheet of
the newsletter throughout the season.
It contains the names and phone numbers of the Executive Board which includes Division
heads, the Umpires-in-Chief, and the heads of the various committees, as well as
the president, secretary , etc. It
also includes a calendar of pre-season events, including meetings, classes, registration,
tryouts, etc.
